Surgery

I saw a neurosurgeon due to a herniated T6/7 disc with 50% cord compression; how probable is surgery?  The neurosurgeon says I need the surgery but he does not perform thoracic surgery; I'm being referred to another surgeon.

I am in a similar situation with T10/11 and severe cord compression.  I am in the process of finding surgeons who do this surgery.  What is your update?
