muscle pain

I constantly have pain throuhout my entire body, including my eyes! I've gone to many doctors and am just not getting answers. I sometimes think it's MS. I've been told though that it's Fibromyalgia and I've been diagnosed in the past as having TMJ and Osteoarthritis. I have severe neck musle pain periodily, not always but it happens. My legs are sore to touch, as well as other muscles in my body. Sometimes my muscles have little pricky movements in them ( which can occur anywhere in the body). I've also been diagnosed with severe carpal tunnel, more severe in the right hand. I live in pain 24/7. I have many other diagnosis but no solution or concrete diagnosis. I absolutely loathe taking prescription meds! but if it was life threatening I would. All of the past medication i've taken for Fibro have such awful side affects. I basically prefer Homeopathic meds. I am however, is on Hctz and Lisinopril for Htn and Potassium 20meqs for recently diagnosed Hypokalemia due to the diuretic im taking, which left me extremely lethargic, weak and even more musle pain. What's going on? should I get an MRI? I've had cat scans, ultrasounds, BMP Panel blood works.

Here I am again!

In re-reading your note I notice this aversion to prescription meds.  This is silly!   Sometimes they are necessary and most of them have a basis in natural products.

In your case prescriptionn meds can be very helpful.  Anti-inflammitories can really help the osteoarthritis and anti-depressants really impact on the Fibromalgia.

I still have pain but manage to live with it.  The anti-depressants stopped the massive and constant headaches from muscle spasms in my back.  (Thank Goodness),

Anti-inflammitories  like Advil or prescription Celebrex calms down  the pain around the joints.

Look for a community pool that has warm water suitable for arthritic patients.

Take charge of your health.  Do the research!

I also have Fibromalgia, osteoarthritis and TMJ.  I decided NOT to let myself be governed by these problems.   Anti-depressants help the Fibromalgia as will exercise both in and out of the water.  Messages are wonderful as well as  yoga. Stress is involved here as well.

You can get the Carpel Tunnel fixed quickly and easily.  I have had both wrists done.  20 minutes in the Dr's office and about a week of being careful.  It takes about a month or two to get back to normal strength.

I went to a specialist for my TMJ and now wear a brace at night.  That really helps.

As for osteoarthritis, go to a rheumatolagist and get proper medication if needed.  Exercise is helpful to build up muscles around the joints.

And finally, get enough sleep.  Fibromalgia is hell without proper sleep.

Good Luck!
