Could you rephrase?  I'm not quite sure what you're asking.  You should be able to ask your doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist if you want to be evaluated.  Doctors may be a little wary if you come in mentioning, "I think I have this," rather than, "I'm experiencing these symptoms: x, y, z," simply due to self-diagnosis often being off from reality, but there is no reason either way why they would not refer you to be evaluated if you request evaluation.

I think I know what you mean.  I think you are saying... if you actually ask the doctor if you may be bipolar, does that mean you're not bipolar since a true bipolar wouldn't know to ask.

Is that right?
