Hi again,, another word of advice an I speak from 35 years of dealing with the mental health community...EDUCATE YOURSELF to the signs an symptoms of your particular diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed for almost 30 yrs, an was given the wrong meds continuously over that period. Mental health meds are not an exact science, what works for one person might not work for another. But the medical establishment will start throwing a combination of very potent drugs that affect at the cellular level, your brain. Sometimes, it's not a pretty sight. Educate yourself on every med they put you on, an ask important questions like " will this affect me on a permanent basis. ( some do, an unless you have a wonderful, competent doctor ) they'll just toss you on these drugs an hope for the best. Personally, kinda like a crap shoot game. Get a second diagnosis, might save you a lifetime of heartache an grief
Hi, just a thought, since you do not have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, formally known as manic-depressive, you are probably on the wrong site. It sounds like you are diagnosed with clinical depression, whether, major or situational, cannot tell from what you've posted. Lamictal was originally prescribed as an anti-seizure medicine, but over time, was found to help different disorders. I'm sure if you typed in depression disorder community forum, they're would be plenty of caring people willing to lend an ear an help out with this difficult time your going through, take care. Mary
You will not b instantly stable for a while. I think you should Go to the er. The fill in dr. might not prescribe anything, neither the er, but the er you might, and you I'll see someone taking serious your symptoms.I don't know how long you've been on the meds, but having Xtra stress at work, vacation, and a period is a lot of stress ! ! I would suggest something for your stress, .25 Lorazepam. Most substitute dr.s don't want to mess with your regular med. Schedule. I hope this helps.
