How do I bring up the topic of possibly having Bipolar Disorder to my therapist

I show a lot of symptoms of it and have asked both of the closest people in my life about what they've noticed specifically, and was wondering how to bring it up with my therapist without sounding like I'm a hypochondriac or self diagnosing.

If you think you have Bipolar Disorder than that means a defining factor for you is Mania or hypomania.  If you're hypomanic or manic episodes cause you concern you need to bring that up with your doctor specifically. No need to specifically state bipolar disorder because then he will think you are worrying because you heard about it and not that you are really experiencing a difficult time from it. There are varying levels of it so to speak.  Some people don't experience as extreme of episodes or as frequently as others, but if it is cause for concern for you in that it effects your total well-being than you should definitely seek help. In my opinion, if it is not obvious then you probably could function with therapy and some lifestyle adjustments.
