Numbness and Lack of Mobility?

My GP tells me I have Hypothyroidism.  He put me on Synthroid 50mg.  One of the symptoms I shared with my GP was the stiffness, numbness and lack of mobiity in my muscles and joints; especially the joints in my ankles and feet.  I notice it the most  when I am sitting for along time and try to stand up.  It also occurs when I get up in the morning.  Is this apart of the Hypothyroid?  Seeking information from anyone who can help.  Thank you in advance!

when was the last time you had your labs done? cause if you are are still haveing tiredness and hair loss then you probably arent on the right dose of synthroid and you need to have it adjusted. I get mine tested every 6 weeks you want to keep your TSH between .3 and 3.0 Let me know what you find out. are you bi polar as well? I am jsut curious as hypo will have all the symptoms of bi polar.Keep in touch

Yup that is hypo hell as we in the thyroidless group call it. I was o my current dose about a month then one day my blurry vision was gone . the joinht pain was gone and my boobs went back down to a c cup from a d cup I  thoght I was going to start lactating lol then when the med kicked about after a month my brain fog was gone as well and I had the will to be active again.
give the med time to do its work and you will be feeling better in no time at all. i even venture to say the bi polar will ease up. I  am on the lowest dose of meds since I started my levothyroxine(generic synthroid)
Keep us posted on your progress.

Yes, those are symptoms of being hypo.  You should post this and all the other info on the thyroid forum.  There's not as many thyroid experts here as over there.  ;-)
