I would get on the right meds depakote worked well
I got to the point i got outta control and ended up hurting someone so bad i blacked out and didnt relize what i had done spent the night in jail its uncontrolable feeling like its not me i went off my meds im so lost and have no support i want to be normal
I was hallucinating and having super bad anxiety too. I went to a chrisis recovery facility for a day and they put me on a new med. I hope the med helps so far so good. I agree with xofadingstarox It can get bad so it is best to speak up as soon as possible. I am going through these things for the first time too, and I know how confusing it can be. I am still a bit confused, and it may take a while to get unconfused as I still am.
Hey Elinah,
I have experienced two psychotic manic episodes after being put on antidepressants. They both lasted at least a week. It started out as a feeling of increased euphoria, racing thoughts, confidence boost, insomnia and impulsiveness. These symptoms progressed and got more intense as time went on, and after a few days my thoughts began to turn sinister. I started having hallucinations and hearing voices telling me to kill myself and others. I grew very paranoid of other people and became obsessed with the idea of stabbing people in the back of the neck with a kitchen knife. After a couple of days more, I attempted suicide after an impulsive overdose and was landed in hospital, where I got off the medication and the mania/psychotic symptoms went away.
I hope you don't get to this stage but if you feel you are heading that way, please talk to someone about it. Psychotic/manic symptoms can lead you in to hurting yourself and/or others so you really need to speak up. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Good luck!
-Tara.
I am Bipolar 1 w/psychotic features. I had it mostly when I was having euphoric mania, and alot of racing thoughts. I had a few things happen which could have been hallucinations, and had delusional thoughts and thoughts of grandure. I paced alot too, and had a hard time focusing on anything physical.
What kind of symptoms are you having?
