Should I go seek treatment?

I'm 19 and I believe I may have bipolar disorder but I am not sure. For a few years I've bounced back and forth between wanting to kill myself and wanting to the rule the world. When I was a senior in high school I went to a psychologist and she was going to diagnose me with bipolar disorder but I lied when they tried to test me for it and never went back to her. I've been tracking my mood for the past 3 months and so far I've been experiencing depressive states that last a month or two and then manic or hypomanic states that last 27-28 days. I don't want to jump to any conclusions about myself but I also don't want to live this way anymore. Does anyone think I should seek treatment? I don't want my parents to know if I do have to go seek treatment for this but I'm on their insurance card. Is their a easy and not so expensive way to get treatment? Thanks

I think it is only called MHMR in Texas but it was worth a shot.  Try looking in the phone book for something under the yellow pages along the lines of "mental health services" or something similar or try Googling various things such as "mental health treatment centers" along with your city and state in the search.

Yes, there is a way.  Google free or low cost mental illiness assistance in you area.  You may try MHMR Mental Health Mental Retardation for your area.  You can usually get medical services at a reduced rate depending on your income level.

I don't know if you are Bipolar but there is something going on b/c it is not normal to be thinking about killing yourslef and that is something to be taken serious.  If your thoughts continue you will need to get help rather you parents find out or not.  I'm sure they would want you to go for help immediately if they knew how you hve been feeling.  If you get in a crisis state regarding suicide, I urge you to go to the ER and tell them you need help because you are having suicidal thoughts.
Please get some help.
