Help please Celexa Withdraw was on 8 long years

I need some help please... I was on Celexa for 8 years plus Amblify for 8 years... Amblify they took me off in January no problem.  Well I am no doctor by far means. But I know what to mix with what. I was put on Topamax in January With Celexa. I also have a thyroid problem since I was 9 years old. I have had enough of all these doctors telling me things. They added Klonopin Ambian. Hello Celexa causes insomia not supposed to be mixed with other meds. Any ways my question is I have finally weagned off Celexa YAY!!! after I told my doctor I was coming off it. As well I asked Him which you ready BIPOLAR WAS I. Well I had all the withdraw symptoms did the 900 yards of the withdraw symptoms I just now cannot get rid of the cough and the throwing up. Its a white coated thick, first was yellow now white.  All the other symptoms have past this part has not. I also Gained extremely amount of weight on my 4 10 body from 100 pounds to 286 which now since january Im at 195. So I would also like to know Is Celexa For BIPOLAR. Which I think I know the answer to that, I was also on 40 mg. thank you for any help. Right now at this point Im sorry I do not like Doctors as you can see, They just kept adding medications instead of looking at the one that caused the issue...

smiles we are thank you. espically since I have a thyroid problem as well because get this. I do not mean to sound rude on here or degrateful, But being on all these medications and for so long. My body height is only 4 10 1 1/2 yes I am short lol. When not the doctor I have now but the former doctor put me on Ambilify as well as Celexa I gained up to 286. I always have been 100 pnds.  My Thryoid before August had which I am hypothroidism had dropped to .009 which I have been hypothroidism since age of 9 was also under control By one of the best endroco in Dallas Texas. If I could see Him again I would gladly hope on a airplain. any ways In august I lost 63 pounds. since Aug, I lost 29 more pounds. I am keeping track on here to now though I have it set privately, guess I could unhide it. I am now though its 2 30 Am I am 194 I have not checked this morning my weight. I do not want to eat any more. I did eat though for the first time since Saturday 2 biscuits. But I have also been Coughing and geting this philm up. Not sure if it was the Clexa part of a cold that has been going around. Also I went from a size in jeans 24 to a 14. Shirt size 4x to a 1x to XL. with in 11 months. Which hey yes I am thrilled to death. Beacause back in 2008 my weight at my thyroid doc was 255.  Its still a bit fast oh I did forget to mention I am on 400mg of Topamax. My thyroid levels are in the right range.  Again I do not mean to sound against Doctors but with what I have been through these past few years, I do not like any. My Mom is going through same thing and she does not like them either except hers is with Zolft. It just makes me affraid to take more medication even though I know I made need it.. sighs

I was on topamax back in 2009 for bipolar depressive. I had a horrible reaction to it. I went from 245 down to 158 within a month, no sleep, no eating, thought ppl were after me, couldnt finish my sentences. It was awful and I am still having trouble getting past the experience. I was taking 200mg and it about killed me. Just a warning to watch for signs.

thanks for the responds. Concerns about the drug interactions that is funny. I had just about every reaction that there is possible from taking Celexa because I was on it 8 years with Ambilify 8 years. I came off Ambilify in January. Klonopin shortly after I have been bouncing from drug to drug.  I also have to watch my thyroid. Yes it is under control. Oh and I did call My pharmacist, they say the reactions I should talk to my doctor how sweet. Thankfully I am finally off of Celexa and the withdraws it has given me. Yes I have a family history of people with Bipolar. I also have a Chromosone 22 q 11 deletion.  Oh I did ask my doctor which bipolar I was I need to be re valuated on it because He has no clue. Could be Bipolar 1 2  the spectrum.  Heck who knows...

Celexa is an antidepressant in the SSRI category. It can be used to treat the depression side of bipolar, however be advised that it should not be taken without a mood stabilizer. As antidepressants alone can throw someone with bipolar into a manic episode. Be sure to tell both of your doctors medical and psychiatrist what medications you are on from the other. If you have concerns about drug interactions and are not able to talk to your doctor about it right away you can always call and ask a pharmacist.
