Wife possibly having personality disorder

I have just got married about 6-7months ago. Over these months, I have come to know that she is quite stubborn and rigid in the way she does things. Trivial things like putting up bedsheets several times a day so as to have no crease on them, her outfits, or even my outfits or what I should wear to office(she locks my cupboard so that I dont wear other than what she tells me to), lighting in room, bedsheets, way to cook, type of furniture, hotel room to choose, places to visit, etc. She is never happy with the way I do things, be it anything. If things dont happen her way, she throws tantrums, does not eat food, does not talk, starts insulting, abusing me or my parents (my parents live in the same house, we have a joint family).
This is very scarry and no one can even say a word inorder to rationalise the way a normal man thinks, else, we have big arguments which result in no conclusion.
I recently read about Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder and Histrionic personality disorder. I somehow find she is suffering from these disorders. But I need an expert opinion on this and also, need guidance to cure it, otherwise living like this is very difficult.

Is the sex that good you are willing to stand that much abuse?  If you still love her, give her an ultimatum--see a psychiatrist or else you're out the door.  I wouldn't stand for being abused, but for every sadist there is a masochist waiting to oblige.

She does not sound normal to me unless she is a five year old.  What are her parents like?  Was she an only child?  I don't know if she has OCD, but she does sound obsessive and controlling, so it's worth checking with a doctor, counselor, etc.  It's especially suspicious if she was all goody-goody before you got married.

Don't have children until you figure this out!!!

Sorry to ask but was your wife like this before you married her or have these problems suddenly started occuring? It sounds to me that she likes being in control of the things around her, has she recently had things taken away from her i.e responsibility? I do hope that things level out for you.

I dont think that its an OCD or Personality disorder. She is quite normal only. But she is not matured enough to believe others. Inside her mind, she thinks that she is the one and only one can take a right decisions.According to her mindset, she thinks that how come u can do better than her. Thats the reason why she behaves like that. My suggestion is, better u have to educate her in a proper way. if u wear a white shirt instead of blue shirt, nothing going to be changed. these things u have to teach her in a polite way. Some kind of big problem, she can give her suggestions. if this doesnt work out u need to medical help for her.

I would set up an appt. for a consultation to express what you are going through with a psychaitrist. You need professional advice as to what to do.
