What medications are you currently taking?
Do you feel they are helping?
ask doc has he/she ever heard of bi polar with dysphoric mania which is what i have, all the wonderful depression and agitation (mania with depression) without any of the highs. why suggest shock therapy for depression? sorry you don't have better care. best of luck in the town/ you could keep a mood diary before you go so that you can show pdoc when you get there. good luck with it.
I have had Depression for 16-years and I have been diagnosed with Bipolar for the last 9-years and I am tired all the time or have very low energy most of the time. Those Dr's do not know what they are talking about hon.
i have been tested for anemia, diabetes, and high and low blood pressure. I have also had my chloresterol checked and get blood tests ever 6 months to monitor my b12 levels.
I have asked the doctors if anything else can be checked but being here in this small town we just don't have the resources or equipment to check more extensifly
I will be in a city that has all the facilitys i need at this summer coming so i am going to try to work on me till then and go for walks when i get stressed out to much. Then I am very slowly going to start trying to ween myself of the medication with the advice of a professioanl I have spoke to on here. But this will be a slower process because of the high dose of celexa i am on.
The last time I asked a doctor if there was anything else they could do for me besides the meds all he said was the only other options was EST. And I am not getting that done for anyone.
Oh My! How wrong can they be!!! Bi Polar isn't a constant state of "Up" - we have SEVERE down in which we can barely function. You might have major depression - tiredness, etc., is a sympton.
What are you saying are your classic symptoms of bipolar?
