how can we overcome being argumentative when dysregulated?

i am bipolar and hurt my back, necessitating the use of steroid injections.  since then, i feel out of sorts-  tearful, negative, argumentative.  what do you do when you are feeling this way?

Go back to your pdoc (psychiatrist) and discuss your concerns with them, it might mean you may need to change your dosage of your pysch meds just until you become more stable again. Steroids can cause mood episodes in bipolar so you will need to discuss these issues with the doctor who prescribed them. It is a hard one which i understand, as i have had to take prednisone for asthma before, you will need to get it in balance to help the pain but not to cause mood problems.

Hope this helps
