Lovebirds unexpectedly died.... need help figuring out the situation?
We bought a lovebird from a lady a few months ago who neglected her. We had been working on socializing her and handling her. The past few days she hadn't been as loud as normal, sleeping on the bottom of her cage, and willingly allowing affection and handling without biting (which is unusual, considering she wasn't handled enough not to bite,yet). We're concerned since we recently changed her diet to parakeet food, we are also concerned maybe she was older than the lady told us she was, or if she was lonely. Any advice would be appreciated.
