Bloody Discharge IUD

I have been on the first spotting period that was more than just a few days (on full day 8 now) with the brown blood that I am used to, but today was different.

No cramps except for a twinge here and there of my left ovary (probably a small cyst as I have PCOS), but the strange thing is that I had both the brown blood and discharge. I got the Skyla IUD last May (2017) and haven't had any issues outside of the transition period (no pun intended), and this is the first time I've seen it mix with brown blood.

Is this something to be concerned about?
