Could my BC have failed me ?

Hello,
i'm a little worried as I've had a few symptoms that are making me unsure of whether or not my contraception has failed me. I continued my pill for the 3 months straight (i don't usually do it but i really didn't want my period) during that time I had unprotected sex several times. Last month is when i stopped for my "break". I usually finish my BC on the sunday and get my period around the thursday/friday. This time, my period started lightly on the tuesday, it lasted as long as it usually does, with a normal "heavy" flow but it was VERY dark and with a lot of clots. I had less cramping than usual. Since then, ive started a new tablet and am meant to be getting my period this week. But for the past month i've been feelings bloated and i've put on 2 kgs. Nothing else is ticking me off - no nausea, no breast pain, I feel like my montgomery glands are more obvious but since i'm a hypochondriac I could just be obsessing too much. I know for sure I didn't miss a pill, at some point I did take pills with St Johns wart in them but used a condom for the 2 weeks following that. Could I be pregnant or was my last "weird" period caused by the fact I hadn't had a period for 3 months ? I'm so worried!

So I'm meant to get my period today, I had spotting yesterday and nothing since then....... i have a little bit of brown discharge. I'm super concerned about being pregnant. I don't have the guts to take a test. I don't understand why it's not coming, I mean if last month I had a heavy period with the usual clumpy stuff that is clearly my uterine lining, i can't POSSIBLY be pregnant right?

Nothing sounds like pregnancy.  Your period can be different when you put it off.  If you're concerned, take a test.  But do note that you're due for your period this week; however, if you allow yourself to be super stressed, you can delay it.
