What is going on with my period and my birth control?

I have had problems my whole life regarding heavy inconsistent periods. I tried tons of different birth controls from the shot to the mini pills to the combination pill.  I have had ultrasounds and blood tests and pap smears and told nothing was wrong. Nothing worked until I started the BC pill Cryselle. I have had no problems for 6 months but suddenly i began spotting and now i’ve been bleeding heavily for 2 weeks. I’m unsure why this would suddenly occur when I didn’t miss any pills or taken any pills late. I just thought I finally found something that worked and It’s incredibly disappointing to be back at square one it feels like.

Ugh, the balance of our hormones is such a fine dance.  Sometimes a bit too much progesterone can tip the scale and we bleed.  I think you need to have your hormonal levels checked and an adjustment made if necessary to decrease this.  Let us know what the doctor says.
