IUD Paragard

So I got the IUD Paragard today I have minor cramping which I read was normal to have the first 3 days. I didn't do much research on it until today I am so scared because of all the things I read online. Although some of the reviews were positive the others were pretty awful.
I was wondering how much time I should give it to see how my body reacts to it?
I really want to remove it because of the things I read but I also know that everyones body reacts differently......
I am very confused and don't know if I should keep it or just have it removed??

I had paraguard for five years and I loved it. The periods were heavy but only lasted 3 days,it was great. It eventually did start hurting so I got it removed this march. I'm pregnant right now, but once I can I will get it again. Don't be frightened the things you read about happens to some women not all. You may have to give it a couple of months before knowing how your body will react to it.

I have been on both the Paraguard and Mirena IUD and hated them both. I got pregnant on Mirena with our daughter & prior to that it caused really bad side effects and the Paraguard even though its a very small amount of copper I had a bad allergic reaction to it & had to have it removed. I currently know 4 other women who tried them and all had them removed..

Hello,
It may be seen that some women may have heavy bleeding and cramping during the first few weeks or first few months after insertion. Your symptoms will settle down after few days or so. If the symptoms are severe your doctor may prescribe medication if the cramps continue .Visit your doctor for more details and queries. I hope it helped. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
