Im still on my period after 12 days

I started the combined contraceptive pill at the start of my period and I’m wondering is that the reason why my period is lasting for so long, usually it is only 5-6 days. It’s also still quite heavy

Oh, that's not good.  Still going on? Definitely call your doctor.  I'd say maybe you are spotting from the change in contraceptive but heavy bleeding is problematic when it goes on past 7 days..  How are things now?  Any update?
