Missed pills could I be pregnant????????

I have been on Loestrin 24 since June 2008. I was always taking them on time everyday.
I started messing up on my pills Friday the 12th. I was a day behind. Well I had
sex with my boyfriend on 12/12, 12/12/, 12/14, 12/18 and 12/21. always unprotected
because of the birth control. Well usually my period starts after I finish my
last pill on a tuesday. I ended up getting my period on Sunday the 14th and it
last till the 19th. It wasn't like a usual period. It was heavy at times, but
would spot brownish blood. I had spotted the 4th-6th out of no where. I had
stopped taking my pills on the Sunday I got my period. I started them again
today because the Pharmacy at my job was closed, so I took 2 today. Is there a
chance I could get pregnant since I had stopped taking my pills. I had missed
3 or 4 pills out of the this previous pack. I just would like answers.

I am not suppose to get my period until Jan 13th. And yesterday and today my BBs have been heavy and sore to the touch. Could there have been a chance I may have gotten pregnant even though I got my period this month. Should I wait till the 13th to test?

There is always a chance that you could be pregnant- that might not be what you want to hear, but it is a fact.  When you take the pills that you miss you should be sure to still take them. If you read the paper that comes with your pills it tells you how to take missed pills.  You should go ahead and take a pregnancy test in a couple of weeks to be sure. If you have had your period there is a lower likely hood that you are pregnant- but take the test just in case.  Pregnancy tests test for the pregnancy horomone so sometimes they give a false negative if taken too early.  The best way to tell is though a blood test- which is relatively unexpensive when done through your normal doctor or obgyn's office.

Also, if you miss a pill please please please always use a condom (or have him pull out)  if you do not want to take the risk of being pregnant.  I know that sometimes you just dont want to use one but it could save you the worry next time!

birth controls not 100% to begin with but when you miss pills you lessens the effect of them.

so yes you can be pregnant
