On birth control, took plan b. Could I still be pregnant?

Hi I am on sprintec birth control pill and I have been for almost 10 months now. I've never missed a pill and I've always taken it on time, maybe a half hour to an hour late here and there but that doesn't happen very often. I had unprotected sex and he doesn't think he ejaculated in me but wasn't sure so I took plan b 16 hours later. This happened on the 8th of January and I had a little bit of light brown discharge today. I start my placebo pills next week and my period always comes during that week. Could I be pregnant? Or am I just paranoid?

You were protected already by being on the pill and taking it correctly. There was no reason to take plan b. But since you did, you should expect side effects because plan b plus the regular birth control pill is basically an overdose of hormones. So it's likely going to take several cycles to get back to normal and not have weird bleeding.

A lot of women use the pill with no condoms. Using a condom is good for backup protection but it isn't completely necessary. So you didn't need the plan b unless you missed a lot of doses of your regular pill.
