Question about birth control patch and starting patch free week early ?

Hey guys,
Im on the ortho Evra birth control patch and use it consistently; I always take it off on Wednesday. Last cycle on my 3rd patch, right before the patch free week, my patch fell off. This was on Monday, so it came off two days earlier than it usually does. I kept it off to have my patch free week and get my period , then exactly a week later on Monday I put a new patch on to start a new cycle. Am I protected ? Was I protected during the patch free week ?

Personally, I'd use a back up method if the patch comes off.  They say your chance of pregnancy increases if it peels off or comes off early.  So, for 7 days after, I guess it is an issue. BUT, are you saying that it just came off two days early and you then had a normal patch free week like you always do?

Yeah I’m saying it came off two days earlier than I would have taken it off, so I just left if off for 7 days for a normal patch free week.
I'm sorry I didn't circle back around right after this.  Is the spotting still happening?
