I tried depo before and I had the same issue with nonstop breakthrough bleeding. They say after six months to a year that will stop but who wants to have breakthrough bleeding that long? I finally switched back to the pill.
Oh my Goodness! Are you serious. Now im a little freaked out. My doctor told me to do self breast examinations every once in a while. so far i havent felt anything. My period stopped today, finally after 20 days of nonstop cramping. My next shot is due on the 26th. and im definately going to talk to my doctor about the deeper side effects that come with deprovera. but it all also depends on your body and how well your hormones balance themselves out. i was told that because i am a smaller built girl, and since the shot is such a large amount of hormone, that it would take a while for my body to adjust to it. anyways im going to talk to my doctor at my next appointment. thanks for your words of wisdom.
I was on the depo shot for about a year and a half. Its pretty normal to bleed for awhile. I know I did I can't how long each I did but eventually it'll stop. I got off the depo shot bc I started forming breast cysts. I found out that when you have your period you produce progestoren (sp?) And it balances your estrogen. Having too much estrogen causes breasts cysts. My hormones are still messed up and I still have breast cysts :(.
