IUD a good birth control?

This is my first pregnancy and I don't wanna b like those girls who have two or three kids before the age of 23 so I was thinking of getting the IUD.... does it cause complication? Or heavy bleeding?

Mirena has a class action suit against them, yes there can be complications with it. I personally had one imbed in my uterous thankfully I didn't need surgery, but I also had a miscarriage 6 months after removal, which I contribute to the mirena and it took another 18 months to get pregnant again. And I have never had any problems getting pregnant.

I have the mirena an I like it sometimes. but sometimes I feel like i'm pregnant constantly. its ups and downs. I also know a lot of people that have gain weight (including myself) and as soon they were off of it they lost 20 to 40 lbs. but I think I might be pregnant right now. so if u are a paranoid person I would not recommend it.

I had the paragard copper iud for almost 3 years. I hated it. It gave me irregular and very heavy periods. Not to mention sometimes the cramping from it was so bad I went to the ER thinking something was wrong. As soon as i got it out i was fine again. Everyone's different though so what we tell you can't really help you much because we don't know how it's going to affect you personally. I've  known a few women like the ones above that have had major issues with the other iud mirena. Wouldn't recommend that at all.

I had the copper IUD & I loved it. My bleeding wasn't awful & it felt much better than hormones from birth control.. and I got pregnant while on BC, haha. I will be getting the Paraguard back ASAP after baby.

I had the mirena, it was terrible! Made me feel pregnant for the 5 months I had it in. Also made me gain weight, dropped 20 lbs in 2 weeks after it was taken out. My friend also had it for a year before it grew through her uterus and they told her she can never have another child now. Wouldn't recommend the mirena....

I had a good experience with mirena I had it for 5 years and had no problems at all. I got it removed after 5 years and got pregnant 3 weeks later and am now 30+1 and haven't had any complications! But with any birth control there are side effects. Just talk to your Dr. About which may be best for you.
