Nonstop bleeding with the copper IUD

Had a copper iud put in 6 months ago. Everything was great besides  just having a little bit heavier periods for the first 4 months. But then at 5 months I started bleeding like it was my period except it hasn't stopped bleeding now for 2 months straight. 100% nonstop bleeding for 2 months straight!! What the heck is going on? This nonstop bleeding is very irritating.

Hm That does not sound sustainable.  They do say the first few months, bleeding can be unpredictable but it's going into a lengthy time period.  Is it heavy?

Here is a link for you to look at. Bleeding in between periods is a risk of the copper IUD.  https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/paragard/about/pac-20391270  this might be something to consider if you want to continue it.  That would be really hard for me personally.
