sudden weight gain

My 25 yr daughter has suddenly been gaining weight over the past 4-5 months....she hardly eats or over eats and skips breakfast...what could be the reason for this sudden weight gain ?  do you recommend any specific test for her ?  she used to be so slim and lovely. her weight is about 65 KGS.  could it be thyroid or any gynaecological issue ?
Pl do respond.
Thank you.

Hi there,
well those are good news then. Yes maybe she is experiencing some hormonal imbalance with an added stress or anxiety from her job. When we suffer periods of stress and anxiety our body starts producing the stress hormone called Cortisol that contributes to weight gain and increase of body fat accumulation in specific areas.
It is clear that your daughter needs to increase the physical activity and the intensity of training. You can follow my program Super Body, Super Brain you can find several youtube videos. Otherwise add cardiovascular activity and short burst of high intense workouts to speed up metabolism.

In addition she needs to reduce calories watching carbohydrates, limit race, bread, desserts, sugars and have 3-5 small meals.

Here she can do my workout from home

Hi Michael, just to update you....my daughter had a thyroid test done and it has come up Negative...so this concern is out....doc has given her a course of TriOmega capsules to be taken on empty stomach for 45 days...she also goes for 30 mins walking but not so frequently due to her job timings....any further suggestions from you would be welcome....thank you and God bless.

HI there and thanks so much for posting this question.
Feel free to post in other Forums as well. By reading your question it looks like it could be a variety of reasons or a combination of factors. Many people no matter their age or gender go through a hidden depression with random shakes up in emotional mood and low self esteem. If that is not the case you may be right and it could a hormonal imbalance that can affect in one of the most essential glands associated to weight gain: The Thyroid. However you want to see if she is seeing changes in her fatigue levels or associated. I would recommend a test of the thyroid gland

My recommendation to help your daughter are as follows:
-Optimal exercises that will focus in balancing hormones such as foods rich in fiber, vegetables, protein, calcium limiting those foods with sugars

- Eat more frequently but smaller amounts 5 times small meals to speed up the metabolism.

-Practice mild exercise such as walking or some exercises that you can find in my blog superbodysuperbrainblog.wordpress.com tell her to at least commit to 10 minutes of exercise and see if she fatigues rapidly.
-Practice meditation to control the stress levels and have a calmer mind

Hope this helps!
