MRI Brain T2W FLAIR hyperintensities

My sisters MRI shows the following
"T2W, FLAIR hyperintensities in bilateral parieto-occipital lobes, splenium of corpus callosum, right basal ganglia, left frontal lobe, left cerebellar hemisphere and left medulla- secondary to vascular insult - likely acute / subacute infarcts"

What is the meaning. She had undergone VP shunt one week back but not recovered her conciousness yet. Can you explain these?????

Well thank you very much if I knew how to find it because brain was the only thing that I could find or associated with my damn problem so if you want to copy and paste it for me in the neurology department and Sarah's as well that be really freaking sweet cuz it took me 3 hours to ask one question please excuse the attitude but this is not me I'm really tired really tired of it thank you
