Is an MRI correct on the size of the tumor or area around the pituitary gland?

I recently had an MRI with contrast done on my head and it showed a 9mm hyper-intensified area on the right side of the pituitary gland. I have nausea, really bad headaches sometimes they hurt behind my eyes, very blurry vision, sometimes when I move my eyes I get dizzy, funny smells in my head like burning rags, loss of balance, dizziness when lying down or standing or sitting, numbness of the top towards back of my scalp, swelling really bad of hands and feet sometimes burning and always pain in both feet and redness, sometimes numbness in hands or hand and arm, shakiness in my hands, memory loss, constant horrific ringing in my ears I can't stand it, loss of appetite nothing tastes that great anymore, increased white blood cell count for over 2 yrs., hypothyroidism for over twenty yrs. and stable for many yrs. but last lab showed almost hyperthyroidism that's a drastic change from the lab prior to that one, irritable, sometimes I wake up angry and cussing and I do not have a habit of cussing, sometimes I get angry for no reason at all, depression, diagnosed with bi-polar depression and personality disorder. Are these all symptoms of a pituitary tumor and does the MRI always give the correct size of a tumor?

I blame the site more... they don't close old threads so old stuff floats up and there are tons of mixed, old threads. It was not meant for you but I just can't follow tons of threads.

I think you are eligible for NIH as well (national institutes of health) in MD and other locations - mostly MD - so go there if you can.

Dizzy may be so many things. That is a hard one.  Keep us posted.

Sorry about that I didn't realize that I was doing that but I will try not to do it again. I'm not computer savy so please forgive me. I have no medical insurance so I have to go to the VA. I can't just find a pituitary center, but I wish I could. The nurse told me they would probably send me to Nashville and she stated that there are many good Drs that come from Vanderbilt to the VA. Hopefully this is true. I go to see the nurse practitioner on the 11th so please keep me in your prayers. I can't move my eyes from the left to the right without getting dizzy. And forget standing up I really get dizzy and feel like I will pass out!

You posted in a lot of other threads (which is nice to relate to others) but it makes it hard for me to keep your story together when your story is broken up over multiple threads. So I will just reply here as I have foggy brain and can't keep up!

Usually yes. I say usually as you need contrast, and the MRI has slices, and if your MRI has wide slices it may not show the whole thing. I would always get a dynamic pituitary MRI as often as you can.

Many of the symptoms you list are consistent with a pituitary tumor so it just depends on the type and other testing,

You need to find a pituitary center.
