I was diagnosed in 2008 with a 3mm non secreting pituitary tumor in 2014 it was 5mm non secreting and dr decided not to do another mri for 3 years. Hormones have always been "normal".
My question is I was spotting heavily dr thought it was a fibroid due to I had a small one 2 years prior and did an DNC at that time. I went 12 months with no period so I was officially in menopause. I had started on HRT 13 months after the DNC so the dr advised me that estrogen can cause the fibroids to grow back. I had all kinds of ultra sounds and they were not able to find a fibroid but thought they saw one between the lining and the wall. Long story short I had a hysterectomy last November. My dr told me that my Prolactin level was normal and so was my TSH and she didn't think it had anything to do with the pituitary tumor.
Now I'm wondering if I should have had the pituitary checked by an endo. Which other hormones can cause you to spot or am I being paranoid?
