general health

since an operation removing a tumor from the hypophisis , some times the prolactin grows up , so i gain weihgt and cannot loos weight.So the doctor gives me dostinex , i d like to ask in how much time this drug act and i ll see the weight to be better

Sorry somehow I missed this post!
Your doctor is treating you for a prolactinoma. The medication can take a few weeks to months to work and in a few people, it does work.

In regards to weight, you had pituitary surgery so likely you are missing more than one hormone. I would ask your doctor for more testing on the thyroid and growth hour in and even cortisol. Something else may be low.
