Would you get Chemotherapy?

I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. Tumor size was 1.5 X 1.4 X 1.4 CM. Rather than having Lumpectomy surgery I decided to have a Mastectomy. Surgical margin was free of Tumor. Sentinel nodes and Lymph nodes were negative for Tumors. Now, doctor tells me I need Chemotherapy for 8 weeks. I have read articles and watched videos on this subject and a lot of physicians say Chemotherapy does not work to treat Cancer. They say it's a profit organization.

As a long time member of this Community (former CL as well) I personally would not care to make a comment on your POLL except to say that Chemotherapy is definitely NOT a profit organization. Chemo is a type of poison that is administered to destroy cancer cells ------ it is a long accepted treatment, NOT an Organization !! Your best advice can be obtained from your Oncologist and NOT videos and articles that deal in general terms with no relation to your particular situation.  Thanks ......

That's all you have to say? Well I'm glad because it was worth nothing.

Do you think medics would continue to prescribe such treatments as chemo with monitoring of results? As a retired NHS employee I can assure you that EVERY spend is audited!

Did you get an oncotype score? Are you hormone positive? With a low oncotype score and if you are ER+/PR+, then chemo may not be for you. I myself have a low oncotype score and ER/PR+ and I am on Tamoxifen. My cancer is hormonal based and chemo does not work well on that.
