Are unexplained bruises a symptom of more cancer?

I completed surgery/chemotherapy/radiation and hysterectomy more than a year ago.  I remember being told something about bruising being something to be aware of and to report.  What is it an indicator of?  A recurrence?  I see my onc in August.  I was estrogen + and Her2 positive.  My thighs are getting more bruises daily.  I thank you for your help!

Hi.
Just have some clarifications.  Are you taking some form of medication/s now?  Do you have other illnesses aside from breast cancer?
The bruises you are having could be an idiosyncratic reaction from a drug that you may be taking.  It could also be caused by a blood disorder.  Patients with liver problem can also have spontaneous bruising.  I agree with the other post that you should consult your doctor for evaluation.

Hi. Take a breath, and then get on the phone to your doctor. You can ask to talk to the doctor or the nurse to find out if you need to come in early. They shouldn't mind if you call, remember, they work for you. Never be hesitant to get the information you need from your doctor.
