Birads 4 US report

Hi All.
Just had a breast US with the following details:
"Hypoechoic lesion in the left breast measuring 6 x 5 x 3 mm. Questionable tract or spiculation seen extending to skin. Could be sebaceous cyst but no through transmission demonstrated."
"Palpable abnormality on right breast, I'll defined hypoechoic sonographic area with a few microcalcifications.

Ultrasound Core Biopsy warranted.

Anyone have similar findings and be benign?

I'm 31 ysold.

Thank.you

Hello and thank you for the question. Sorry for the delay in response.  Have you had the follow up as of yet? A Bi Rad score of 4 would indicate a need to go ahead and have a biopsy if they suggest it. It very well may and likely will turn out to not be cancer.  However, in an abundance of caution, it's important to make sure. You have more than one thing going on with the microcalcifications and lesion.  Since there was a delay in this situation, please update us and we'll go from there.

Hi there. Did biopsy on both sides and luckily came back as benign mammary fibroglandular tissue with rare microcalcifications... follow up US in 6 months time.
Oh, excellent news!  That the follow up biopsy is not cancer is the most common outcome but we have to make sure.  I'm glad you did and can rest easy. Take care and let us know how the 6 month follow up goes!
