Thanks so much ladies for your recommendations I will check them out.
If you contact the american cancer society they will send you a box of books for free that cover everything you need to know about breast cancer.
More important though is once you've got those books, join a support group and you'll be surrounded by women who have walked in the shoes you're now walking in and they can give you insight and knowledge from their walk.
Best wishes.
Here are a few :
1. Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book
2. Breast Cancer: Treatment Guidelines for Patients (a helpful overview, and free from the American Cancer Society)
3. Cancer Vixen by Marisa Acocella Marchetto (available in paperback from Amazon, among other places) This is a cartoon-illustrated, often humorous book (note that the title is a take-off on cancer victim), but it nevertheless provides some good information about what someone dx with breast cancer may face regard to tests, treatment decisions, etc., and it also deals with things like comments from family and friends. (Part of the author's profits are allotted to breast cancer causes.)
Best wishes,
