Breast Problems

Hello! I am an 18 year old college student who is recently having some issues. Only one of my nipples has been erect for 8 days now with sensitivity, pain, and swollen areolas. I put a warm wash cloth on it, thinking maybe it was a blocked milk duct (No, I am not pregant). When I visited my health center, the PA did a breast examination on me and told me that “the right breast seemed different from the left” (whatever that means). I do have Polycystic Breasts and she is aware of that. They scheduled an Ultrasound for me but im just really nervous... I have anxiety and finals this week and need to put my brain to rest on what this is. I have a family History of Breast Cancer, with the youngest diagnosis at 22 and the oldest at 56, and im just stressing out. Any help or support is appreciated.

History: I am not pregnant, No STD’s/STI’s present, I have an IUD (since february), New Medication (this began before the start of new meds).

Have you had your ultrasound yet?

Since you have polycystic breasts (I wonder if you mean fibrocystic - https://www.medicinenet.com/fibrocystic_breast_condition/article.htm), I would wonder if you have a cyst.

Let us know how you're doing, and we hope you did well on finals!
