Hi, Just to let you know the latest - I saw my doctor/surgeon this morning, and he told me that the mastectomy was very successful, it was clear of cancer, I am not sure if there was 1mm of microinvasion left from the lumpectomy last month, but everything has now been taken, there was no node invasion, and the multifocal element proved negative. He said I was to go on Tamoxifin starting today. I have to meet with the oncologist on Friday as a matter of course.
He said that my prognosis is excellent.
I showed him the hard vein I mentioned last post - and its thrombosis - he said it will disappear.
So, after four torturous months I at last have some good news. I thank you for all your help, advice, support, from the doctors and every kind lady who has responded to my posts and wish everyone the very best.
Hazel x
Hi,
It would be difficult to say anything without a proper clinical examination.
You are right in scheduling an appointment with your surgeon for a review.
Let us know what your surgeon advises and also about how you are doing.
Regards.
