Breast microcalcifications

In 2013 had benign calcifications noted birad 2.  This year went mamo said new group microcalcifications put in birad 0 category need more  films.  Why would it be given rating  of 0 if they saw microcalcificaions?  I was never called and picked up report a week later.  now I am worried about cancer. Is this a bad scenario?

Thanks for the info.  I guess if they thought it was worse they would have called the doctor right away re birad 0

BIRADS category O, doesn’t mean a bad scenario at all, it just means that the Mammogram imaging is incomplete because it did not give the radiologist enough information to make a clear diagnosis.When this happens further imaging is needed to see things more clearly.Often times a spot compression mammogram will clarify things and turns out to be nothing to worry about.
Please call the Radiology Institution to schedule an appointment for the additional testing.I am hopeful that everything will be just fine.
