CHEMOTHERAPY AFTER BREAST CANCER & BELLS PALSY

I read in a previous post about a patient getting bells palsy after breast cancer - same thing here -  stopped chemo on 10/05 and 12/28 I got bells palsy -the facility I was going to at the time (3 years ago) told me it wasn't possible - the facility I go to now 3 1/2 years later  gave me an "absolutely it can happen" - first chemo kills the immune system and continues to work a year after stopping - second IF there is any autoimmune going on ( I HAD HPV which I understand 1 out of 2 ladies have exposure today and which by the way in turn is known to create
endometriosis which I have......ALL these And even  just the chemotherapy  ALONE can and most likely created the bells palsy - its questionable that they have little proof on  WHAT creates this unusual most terrifying disease (and imagine after losing all your hair, eyebrows. eyelashes, dignity and then a breast - then you lose your face when your just getting ready to heal and recover - simply terrifying.  YES THERE IS A CONNECTION - IT ALL MAKES SENSE IF YOU CONNECT THE DOTS!

I made no comment regarding HPV, I was merely stating facts regarding the cause of Bell's Palsy. I'm sorry you misunderstood.  Regards ....

Most studies indicate that Bell's Palsy is caused by the inflammation of the facial nerve and this can occur as a result of the herpes virus; even herpes simplex. I see no real connection to Breast Cancer Treatment. On occasion it may well happen to someone who is post-treatment for breast cancer but it is known to affect men and women equally / breast cancer, Chemotherapy or not.
