HELP ME... Breast Cancer

I seek medical help regarding my condition. I am an Asian Girl from Philippines. On my early age, my breast was augmented twice with the procedure of collagen injection. And now I have felt a lot of lumps on both of my breast. I went to my obygne for a checkup my breast early last year. She advised me to undergo an ultrasound which I followed and from there she saw a lot lumps on my breast. She had tried the needle biopsy and took something on a certain lump from my breast which resulted to a non malignant cyst. However I am still worried until now because the lumps in my breast are still there. My breast sometimes are both tender and painful also and some part are hard to touch. I haven't tried a mamogram method but do you think that this will help me know if i had a breast cancer? I am afraid to for this kind of procedure and it might be very expensive as well. I hope you could give me an advise in my problem. Thank you so much to all of those concern people.

I am a filipino  and i have the same problem about a breast cyst...done all the procedure ultra sound and biopsy..but the result are all benign..diagnostic fibroadenoma..Since fibroadenomas are benign, treatment will vary depending on your diagnosis. If it is small, painless, remains the same size, and a biopsy shows no problems, you would not need further treatment, but may have follow-up ultrasounds. However, if it is large (more than three cm), painful, growing, or a biopsy results in atypical (very active) cells, you can have it surgically removed. Doctors recommend removal of fibroadenomas, if you are over 40 years old.

Fibroadenomas are one of the findings that can be seen on your mammogram. They are benign (not cancerous) breast tumors that are made of glandular and fibrous breast tissue. Fibroadenomas can occur alone, in groups or as a complex. If you have multiple or complex fibroadenomas, this may raise your risk of breast cancer slightly.

But nothing to worry this is not cancerous...

halo,,

I am from Philippines also and I am currently in Pampanga. I havent tried the mammogram yet. First is I am afraid on the procedure and then I don't even know how would it cost me. Because my financial status now is not like before that I could say I can afford it.

Did you also had these breast augmentation before? I think it all started from there. I had these several lumps, Although lastnight I tried to examine my breast. There were lumps that i felt before are gone now. And there are new small ones i felt. I had these small lymph nodes i guess under my armpit and its kind of odd to touch it.

I also massage my breast every morning thingking that by massaging my breast could disappear the lumps on my breast.

How was your condition now by the way. I hope it is not serious also. Goodluck to you also.... :)

I am 29 yrs old and I cant help but to worry about my condition. Specially whenever i felt mild pain on both of my breast. It seems that  from my shoulder to my armpit seems to be exhausted and tired.

I dont have any nipple discharge, however whenever i squeeze my nipple there is a milk (but oily) coming out from the nipple. I can't determine if my nipple was retracted or it is becoming inverted. Although there are little bumps or like little acne from the side of the areola.

I also have many small little arm pit lymph nodes. My breast are thick, sore and hurts under my armpits.

I am really worried about it. I never tried mamogram since in our place I can hardly find a hospital who has this kind of test. Usually they do ultrasound and the needle biopsy. I have to go the main city which is in Manila, just to find this kind of test.

My mom (46 yrs old), has undergone this surgery from a certain hospital in our place. And they remove the lumps in her breast but not totally the whole breast. Actually She had undergone to a surgery twice. Because there are new lumps in her breast after a year of the surgery. And now she has another big lump again on her left breast. The lumps that were removed before were all benign and not cancerous. They are like a cyst.

But I remembered that when my OB had these needle biopsy, the sample that she got from the lumps was oily and clear. It is like an oil which can be the collagen I said. And she also thought that it would be also possible that it is also the collagen that was injected to my breast.

What do you think about my condition Ma'am Vanessa?

HI, I came also from the Philippines.. where in our country are you from? As for your questions, me too so far i am having a lots of pain on my left breast.. My doc sent me for an u/s last year and they couldn't find anything suspicious. I thought it went  away. but now like a week or 2 weeks ago, it started again so I went to my ob yesterday and she could not feel anylump. She told me to stay away from caffeine, chocolates, as soon as she said that i remembered eating a lots of dark chocolates on this past holidays.

My doc sent me for a baseline mammogram.. I am 35 years old so i am due for it. If your insurance will pay for it I say go for it. But then if not, just for reassurance of your feelings, find out how much it would cost. We cannot put a price on our health, right? so hopefully its nothing....
GOODLUCK..

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

How old are you?

Since ultrasound and biopsy were done and the biopsy results were normal, doing a mammogram may be of no additional help at this point. It may be useful as a tool for follow up in the next few months although your doctor may opt for a diagnostic mammogram  for baseline reference. A history of collagen injections may warrant more mammographic views than usual.

Are there nipple discharge, skin discoloration, nipple retraction, palpable mass over the armpits or the groin area?

Is there a history of cancer in the family?

I suggest you keep yourself from worrying. There is no cause of alarm here. Just continue with your self breast examination and ff up with your physician .

Keep your imaging results and bring them with you each time during consultations.
