Hypoechogenic structure with questionable surrounding distortion

I got my results from my mammogram & ultrasound yesterday.  Here are the results.  I can't see the surgeon until Wednesday and it seems like a lifetime away.  There are two well circumscribed anechoic structures seen in the 1 to 2 o'clock position of the left breast.  One measure 1.5 x .7 x 1.1 cm, the other 1.7 x .5 x 1.6 cm.  However, in the same quadrant more closely associated with the palpable abnormality is a hypoechogenic structure with questionable surrounding distortion and internal echogenicity measuring as tall as it is wide at 9.1 x 7.6 x 8.4 mm.  Dense parenchymal tissue in the are of interest is identified.  BI-RADS category:  4/suspicious abnormality - biopsy recommended.

I had to pick up my scans and results to take to the surgeon and that's all the info that was on the written report.  I'm still very scared.  Plus, they are squeezing me in to see this surgeon and told me to expect a 2 hour wait.  It will be agonizing.  :-(

My biopsy is Wed also. I wish you luck that all they found is breast tissue!!!  At least you have a lot of information.  All I know is that I have a lump and an ultrasound biopsy is recommended.  How did you get all that specific information?  It is such a weird feeling knowing that you have a hostile "invader" in our body....
