Is "stromal sclerosis" the same as (m)...

"sclerosing lobular hyperplasia"?

My path report said "adenosis with stromal sclerosis".    This was taken during a lumpectomy, a lump from upper outer quadrant of left breast.  When I search stromal sclerosis, this is what comes up.  She (the breast surgeon) said it was in my lobules and that even though it was benign, I have a higher risk of BC because of the sclerosis.

Thanks.

I have ductual and lobular hyperplasia with atypia...also high risk...I ask a lot of questions about my path reports at the johns hopkins breast center website, they have a very knowledgeable nurse there (bc survivor as I recall) Hope you get some answers, best wishes.

I know, I love that site as well to read - but I can never get in ther to "ask the expert", it's always closed.  When is a good time?  Is there another way?  Thank you.

you can actually e mail the nurse if you can't get into the ask an expert section. I have done that and she has responded personally to me.....give it a try - good luck!
