Long term survival beyond my eleven years

I was diagnosed in 1998 with early detection breast cancer.  I underwent a lumpectomy and node dissection.  Out of 13 excised nodes, I had one slightly involved positive node.  I am ER negative.  I underwent the typical chemotherapy of Adriamycin and Cytoxin and the prescribed radiation.  I go to Duke every year for my mammogram and to see my oncologist and surgeon.  My last visit was March of 2009.  I get more apprehensive with each passing year even though I have been cancer free for eleven years.

What are my chances of a recurrence with my history?  I am now 66 years old and in otherwise excellent health.

Thank you for any information you can give me.  I know there is always a chance of a recurrence or developing breast cancer in the other breast.

Thank you for your encouraging note.  My daughter is a 25 year survivor of leukemia.  She was diagnosed at age 13 with a very poor prognosis.  She now has three sone.  My husband is a prostate cancer survivor.

I wouldn't be able to speculate but I recently read an article about an 88 yr. old woman who looked in excellent health; she is a 51 year Survivor and you know many advances in treatment have been made since she dealt with breast cancer at the age of 37. The person who sent the article also mentioned a friend who was a Survivor of 33 years.  Inspirational, don't you think ???   Regards .....
