As I stated ... I would advise the consult with a Breast Specialist and Plastic Surgeon where the current situation would be considered; it would be like starting over as you did initially before the augmentation was scheduled. It may or may not change things but that would be up to the two Doctors. With any type of augmentation there is the possibility that it would be more difficult to discover breast issues in the future; this is what would need to be considered. Even if (and that's a big IF) this were cancer related the augmentation wouldn't be much different than reconstruction following any surgery done as a result of having Breast Cancer, except for the delay of course. Take care ...
Well common sense would show that if this is cancer, I would not be considering breast augmentation. My question was, if this does NOT come back as cancer or precancerous, would I still be a candidate for breast augmentation?
All microcalcifications are NOT cancer but they do need to be investigated to be sure. As far as the planned surgery I can't imagine why if there is a possibility of cancer or if it proves to be malignant you would even be thinking about breast augmentation! You need to put those thoughts aside and deal with the present issue then another consult with both a Breast Specialist and a Plastic Surgeon when you are clear as far as any malignancy is concerned. Best Wishes ....
