In your situation (Grade 1, clear margins, no node involvement), the deciding factor regarding chemo is often the size of the tumor  (for example, some say if less than 0.5 cm, not needed; 0.6-1 cm consider seriously; greater than1 cm, necessary).

Since your oncologist isn't urging you to have chemo, I'm guessing your tumor was quite small?

Best wishes...

Thank you for the explanation of the Oncotype Test.  I am waiting for the results of mine.  As of right now my clinical oncologist says no chemo, only 32 radiation treatments and then Arimidex for the next 5 years.  I guess that could change if my recurrence score is high.  Thank you again.

Thank you Louise, for your answer, I am seeing a Clinical Oncologist, and a Radiation
Oncologist as well. They will recommend the best Adjuvant treatment, I have Cosmetic
Breast Implants, I do not know if Radiation is an option with Implants.
Thank you all, also thanks to Japdid for her expertise.

As Bluebuttefly2222 says, this is generally good news.  The score also means that chemotherapy will probably have less benefit as a treatment.  Generally, the lower the score the less benefit from chemotherapy.  My score was 11.  My oncologist did say it was an option, but when I read through the Oncotype DX material, I decided not to do it, because their recommendation was that it would have very little benefit for my type of tumor.

Hi!

First, I want to say how happy I was to see that you had clear margins from your second surgey!  Your Oncotype results bring more good news. I'm going to copy a general description below, and then you can discuss with you doctor how this will affect  recommendations  for your specific your case.

"The Oncotype DX screening test is performed on each tumor sample to get the Recurrence Score. The Oncotype DX test scores the breast tumor on 21 different genes involved in breast cancer and gives a Recurrence Score, or a number between zero and 100 that shows the chance of the breast cancer returning within 10 years of the original diagnosis.

The Recurrence Score is then categorized into one of three groups: low, intermediate, or high risk. For example, if a tumor has a Recurrence Score over 31, a high-risk score, this means there's a greater chance that the breast cancer will return. If a tumor gets a Recurrence Score of 18 or less, a low-risk score, this signals a lower chance that the breast cancer will return. If the Recurrence Score is 19 to 30 then the recurrence risk is intermediate."

Best wishes...
