Painful area

Hi, I have had a painful area on the underside of my left breast for about a month or so. I don't think I can feel any lump and the skin/shape looks normal, but the area is painful to the touch, like pressing on a bruise. I'm 37.

Would really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks

Hi.
Most breast cancers present as a lump that either shows on a mammogram or can be felt by feeling the breast. Occasionally, breast pain can occur and it's rarely associated with cancer. However, breast pain can also occur for a variety of other reasons. You should consider seeing a breast specialist who can evaluate the pain and make recommendations as to its causes and possible interventions.Best wishes
