Recurring Calcifications

I had a biopsy on Calcifications.  Benign. 9 months later more found in same area. Now I'm having an mri and another biopsy. Anyone else have this happen?

Usually yes .... since there is no tumor or abnormal growth visible on any of the tests. As you know of course since you've had other benign results; they can, and are most often harmless.  Regards ....

It truly is stressful but I think wondering about it would be just as bad if not worse. We hear from so many who think waiting and watching is the way to go but I personally couldn't stand much of that. I think most of us are the "need to know" type and that's a good thing. I'm  holding good thoughts for another BENIGN result for you.   Take care ....

I'm sure that other women have had additional Calcifications develop. You know of course that they can on occasion indicate the presence of a malignancy and do need to be biopsied. Scattered Calcifications are a normal finding within the breast tissue but if they present in groups or certain patterns it may be something more serious. Better safe than sorry even if it does mean another biopsy and other testing. Hang in there and know that you are receiving excellent medical care. Here's wishing you the best for your biopsy results.  Kindest regards ...
