Removing the FIBROADENOMA

Hi, I have 2.3cm FibroAdenoma on my left breast and my breast surgen left a choice to me whether to go for the removal of the lump or to keep it and observe. I prefer to go for the removal of the fibroadenoma. But I do see some postings saying that removing it might take some of the breast tissue and this might cause cancer. And if I keep it, that also leads to Cancer. Now I'm very confused. Please let me know what I should do.

Thank You.

If you have a fear of cancer then have it out for your peace of mind.  I don't think it will change your appearance, ask the sugeon that. It is small.

Can't tell you what to do but removing it won't cause cancer. Any removal of a lump of any sort would be done by removing a small amout of tissue surrounding the lump. Fibroadenomas are typically benign but if they cause even the slightest concern they can be removed. It's truly up to you and if as you say you would prefer removal, then by all means go for it. Regards .....
