Hi. I've had this dry, itchy brown patch of skin near my left areola for a couple of months. It's approximately one-thirds of my pinky. It started out as normal-looking itchy skin, but as I scratched it the skin turned pinkish, then brownish. After a while, the itch dissipated, but the skin remained brown and dry.
However, it started itching again a few days ago. Yesterday, a small scab formed in it, though it's probably just caused by excessive scratching. The scab's healed now.
Between my right breast and armpit there's a soft, painless lump about the size of a quail's egg or cherry tomato. It has been there since I was 13 and 14, so I'm starting to think that it's just axillary breast tissue. I'm almost 18 now. Could both of my breasts have cancer? Thanks in advance!
More info: My father has eczema, but none of my family members has been diagnosed with breast cancer (of any type of cancer) as far as I know.
Additional question: What kind of doctor should I consult to? A dermatologist? An oncologist? Would a general practitioner do?
