Fibroadenoma

What does this mean: A solid nodule is seen toward the 2:00 position measuring 1.1 cm. in maximum diameter with well circumscribed borders and a thin well defined capsule; most consistent with a fibroadenoma.

It means that the nodule seen more than likely represents a common finding called Fibroadenoma. These lumps are benign but a biopsy really should be done to be sure of this diagnosis. No test (mammogram or ultrasound or even breast MRI) can tell if a lump is benign or cancerous.  Regards .....

That they think it is a benign(not cancer) growth.
