numbness in the arm after node removal-surgury

Hi: I had lumpectomy with stage II cancer. They removed 7 lymph nodes, one was positive. I was wondering if feeling numb in the arm permanent ?Also I might have to do a mastectomy with breast reconstruction.  The surgon told me implant will be done during the same procedure. Do they put the reconstructed nipple on during mastectomy or afterwards ?. Would it have any sensitivity ?

Nipple reconstruction is routinely NOT done at the time of breast reconstruction.

The numbness is a normal occurance and some sensation may return but some numbness will probably be lifelong.  You question about the reconstruction would be best answered by posting on the Expert Forum "Reconstructive Surgery" .... a Plastic Surgeon answers questions on that Forum.      Regards ....
