warmth and itching

Hello, earlier I had posted a question about cancer lumps or fatty tissues thank you for your responses.  Since then I have gone to see a doctor who confirmed a lump on my breast.  I actually did not notice the lump till I started checking.  The lump on my breast hurts when I press it down and I have heard cancer lumps do not hurt is this right?  Also, I do have some itching but it is minor and it does not happen all the time...I know cancer runs in my family that is why I am concerned.  I'm scheduled to go in for an ultrasound tomorrow at 3pm and if anything looks suspicious then I'm going to have a biopsy done.  Does anyone know if a cyst would hurt when I press it down or if a swollen lump would hurt as well?  If its a swollen lump and my skin is stretching I would think that is the reason why it would itch a bit right?  Does anyone know if you can tell just by massaging the lum if it is a cancer lump or a cyst lump?  Do both hurt? do both itch? do both feel warm?  I'm worried any insight would help alot thank you

Hi there,

I read your post.  It's great that you are going for ultrasound tomorrow.  That way you will get some facts that can help you put to rest all of the questions.  I know you are worried, it's scary when something's not right with your body.  Try to just sit tight until tomorrow, hang with some good friends and treat yourself well.

If you need more from us, please don't hesitate to ask.  Good luck tomorrow!

Warmly,

Chris

hi, thanks for you comments and friendly advise.  I'm at work, I decided to come in today to keep my mind off things.  I noticed this morning my whole left side is sore like I have been lifting weights.  Even the upper left side of my back hurts.  My arm feels tired and the doctor said that whatever I have might be pinching a nerve.  I'm concerned because I keep reading these posts and some girls post that they come out ok in some results but then the doctors send them somewhere to get a second opinion...what if I am misdiagnosed? oh my God I have been praying so much

Ok, first of all, stop reading so much!  I'm saying that with all the love and warmth I can.  I remember when I first was diagnosed with cancer (and I'm not saying you're going that way) I kept reading everything thing I could find that sounded anything like what I had and I ended up getting myself so freaked out that I was a mess.  I strongly recommend getting off the internet until you have some more information about your situation (i.e. the results from your ultrasound).  You will find a piece of yourself in everyone's story and it can drive you nuts.  Keep yourself with the facts and nothing more until you know more, ok?

Warmly,

Chris
